About Us

Kathy developed a passion for photography at an early age with the encouragement of her father who was a very keen photographer.   She lived and worked on the Gold Coast for a while as a professional SCUBA Diving instructor and photographed her first wedding there about 16 years ago. Kathy’s Diving career then took her to  live and work on several beautiful Island locations in QLD, Indonesia then to Cairns. These amazing places inspired and increased her love of photography and her profession started heading in a different direction. Kathy met her wonderful husband-to-be in Cairns and after 7 years they re-located to the stunning Sunshine Coast Hinterland in 2001. She lives with her husband Richard and daughter Maddison.

After shooting weddings now for over 16 years, Kathy is specialising more in Family portraits. “These are such an important part of family life but all too often get overlooked. Kids grow so fast and change so much. It’s something that you shouldn’t just keep putting off – as my own family sadly found out – there isn’t always a ‘later’ option.”

Richard Hill is usually found swinging a boom microphone for popular TV series. Currently he is working on Border Security, although he travelled extensively in the past working on Survivor,  Mythbusters and various documentaries. It was while filming a crocodile documentary in Far North Queensland that Richard and Kath met, married and settled in Cairns for several years before moving south again to their property on the Sunshine Coast. Richard can often be seen helsping Kathy on location shoots with a second camera or reflector and back at the studio, he is also a master of the coffee machine and bickie platter.

Pebbles has to be mentioned as no-one  visits the studios without being greeted by the crazy grins and antics of Pebbles, the wonder dalmatian! She loves a pat but you will have to keep an eye on those bickies!
